Yes, for you. No credit card, no trial clock and no expiry, and you only pay if you choose to upgrade. Your apprentice needs a Student Basic or Student Advance membership to connect with you, log OJT hours and receive your sign-offs.
Do I need to be an A&P to join?
No licence check is needed to sign up, but this membership is built for certificated A&P mechanics: you add your A&P certificate number and signature before you can sign OJT records or verification letters. Running a shop or repair station? MX Shop Free, Grease Pilot's free membership for aircraft maintenance shops, registers your shop in the Phalanx Aviation database instead.
What do I get?

How many apprentices can I train?
One on Free. The Basic Mechanic Membership gives you five. Your apprentice needs a Student Basic or Student Advance membership to connect with you, log OJT hours and receive your sign-offs.
Who can sign OJT records?
You can, for an A&P apprentice you're connected with, once your A&P certificate number and signature are saved in your account. Each sign-off is recorded by ACS category, building the record an apprentice needs for the FAA.
How do apprentices find me?
Through your recruiting listing and the A&P Apprenticeship Finder, where students search for supervisors near them. While you're accepting apprentices, your listing can also appear in Google's job search.

Most A&Ps learned the trade from someone who took the time to sign them off. This free membership lets you be that mechanic for someone else: a listing apprentices can find, a hiring process with a Pre-Qual and a probation period, and OJT records signed the way an FAA inspector expects to see them.
